
University-wide Computation Strategy
The Opportunity:
Given the impact that computation has and will increasingly have on the nature of the scientific enterprise, the University of Chicago has a strong interest in proactively assessing and revising an institutional strategy to emerge as a leader in an ever changing field. University administration and the President’s Science Group sought out Arete to bring together computation faculty leaders to formulate a ten year strategic plan that will set an agenda for a cutting edge approach to how the University leverages computation to advance education and research.
What we did for them:

- Convene and manage University support and leadership
- Bridge institutional gaps at University
- Facilitate research feasibility and agenda-setting workshops
- Develop research agenda
