The University of Chicago, in collaboration with Ruhr-University Bochum / Germany, is pleased to invite you to the Enhancing Life Capstone Conference, August 4-6, 2017, in Chicago, USA.

During the past two years, The Enhancing Life Project, supported with a generous grant from the John Templeton Foundation, has explored an essential aspiration of human beings that moves persons and communities into the future. Given the profound expansion of human power through technology as well as advances in genetics, ecology, and other fields, the vulnerability and endangerment as well as the enhancement of life are dominant themes in the global age.

 Enhancing Life Scholars from around the world and from various disciplines (Religion, Media, Social Sciences, Medicine, and others) have worked on research projects and engaged in interdisciplinary collaboration in order to explore this rich but widely unexamined dimension of human aspiration and social life. 

The Enhancing Life Capstone Conference will take place at The University of Chicago Gleacher Center, 450 N Cityfront Plaza Drive, Chicago, IL, USA, from Friday, August 4 to Sunday, August 6, 2017.
