As budgets for NIH/NSF tighten, it is increasingly important to seek funding from a wide variety of external agencies. Join members of the Research Development Support and Federal Relations teams for a discussion about pursuing funding from non-NIH/NSF agencies, such as the Department of Defense, NASA, or the US Department of Agriculture. Office of Federal Relations staff Matthew Greenwald, Assistant Vice President, and Kate Von Holle, Director of Federal Research Development, will present overarching federal appropriations trends and address the outlook for future federal funding.
A Q&A session will follow and faculty panelists will share their experiences securing research funding from a variety of sources and considerations for each of these sources. RSVP to reserve your spot!
Individual consultations to discuss funding opportunities will also be available after the presentation. To sign up in advance, contact Kalyana Pingali at kpingali@uchicago.edu.
